This work captures more than a moment — it holds an emotional echo. With its muted palette and poetic stillness, Reminiscence invites the viewer into a space of empathy and reflection. It is a tribute, not only to a beloved daughter, but to all who carry grace through hardship.
The artwork was selected to represent the Bloupunt Rosé 2025 wine label — chosen for its elegance, softness, and emotional resonance.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
On a winter’s day in 1984, I stumbled upon photography quite by accident — an encounter that quietly altered the course of my life. Over time, painting and mixed media entered the frame, each expanding my way of seeing and expressing the world around me.
My creative journey has taken many turns, evolving into a more instinctive, subconscious approach. I’m drawn to honesty and simplicity — to work that carries presence without pretence. Whether through a lens, a brush, or layered materials, I aim to create pieces that resonate beyond the surface.
For me, a photograph holds an undeniable sense of realism. A painting or mixed media piece offers space for interpretation. Each has its voice. But at the heart of it all is the same desire: I see, I understand; I experience, I connect.
I also know that the path I’ve followed — every step of it — has been gently and purposefully ordered by a loving, caring, and personal God. That awareness brings meaning and grace to my process, even in the quietest or most uncertain moments.
Inspiration often comes from ordinary life — moments in between, unnoticed textures, or passing light. That’s where the conversation begins. That’s where the art lives.
