Collection: Klaus Tiedge | Artist

Wildlife and African Tribal photographer extraordinaire, German-born Klaus Tiedge (1965-2019). During the last ten years of his life, Tiedge created one of the most remarkable wildlife portfolios in Africa, the Pride of Africa, alongside a series of classic African tribal portrait collections.

Tiedge had been a prominent figure in commercial photography for more than 20 years, having worked in numerous countries including India, Japan, Brazil and the USA. In 2001 he moved to South Africa and settled in Cape Town, taking full advantage of the thriving fashion industry and the region's optimal conditions. In 2008 he shelved his commercial work to pursue his passion for fine art photography, turning his attention to the beauty and diversity of the African continent.

Klaus Tiedge was mentored by Martin Osner over the last decade of his life, and Osner Gallery has represented his work since. The collection is shown in person at the gallery in Hout Bay.
