ABOUT THE ARTIST

On a winter's day in 1984, "photography" and I met quite by accident, an encounter that redirected my life and changed it forever. Over the past twenty-eight years, my methodology has taken numerous detours while walking a self-discovery path. It is a journey that has refined a relaxed subconscious attitude with a desire to express simplicity and honesty through my work. For me, a photograph holds an undeniable sense of realism, a new correlation that is easy to associate with. I see, I understand; I experience, I connect. In my photography, I allow day-to-day life to inspire.

Questions

Before you buy.

Anything not answered here, the gallery will help.

Is delivery really free?

Yes, on every work, to every country. It travels door to door by air freight, with delivery guaranteed. Insurance is included in the price, and it arrives with tracking.

How is the print made?

On archival pigment inks and heavyweight fine art paper, with a white border that carries the signature. Printed to order and checked by the artist before it is signed.

Is it signed and numbered?

Every print is signed by the artist. Limited editions are also numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity. Open edition prints are signed, not numbered.

How long does delivery take?

Usually 7 to 10 days from order to your door. Your print is made within 48 hours, carefully packed, then sent door to door by air freight, tracked all the way. Some parts of the world are a little quicker, a few a little slower.

Can I have it framed?

Yes, through our framing workshop at the gallery in Hout Bay. Ask the gallery.

What currency will I pay in?

Prices are charged in US dollars. Beneath each price you see an estimate in your own currency, worked out from the dollar price at today's rate. Buyers in South Africa can pay in rand by bank transfer at checkout.

Will I pay VAT or import tax?

No VAT or tax is added to your price. We are not a VAT vendor, so there is nothing to claim back either. Depending on where you live, your country may charge import duty or tax when the work arrives. That is set by your country's customs rules and is out of our hands, so if you are unsure, your local customs office can tell you what to expect.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, in the condition it arrived in and in its original packaging, with return shipping at your cost. If it arrives damaged, or it is the wrong work, we replace it or refund you at our cost. See the returns policy.
