ABOUT THE ARTIST
My artistic journey has been a remarkable dance between two passions: traditional painting and fine art photography. This fusion has taken me from limited edition works to the creation of one-of-a-kind original artworks. It's an evolution that's defined my path and speaks to my artistic soul. I often reflect on that serendipitous winter day in 1984 when photography and I crossed paths quite unexpectedly. This encounter redirected the course of my life and set me on a transformative journey. While I had always known of my artistic inclination since my school days, I was fortunate to have parents who, out of love and concern, sought to shield me from the challenges of pursuing a career in the arts. I was encouraged to seek a more "stable" path.

Is delivery really free?
Yes, on every work, to every country. It travels door to door by air freight, with delivery guaranteed. Insurance is included in the price, and it arrives with tracking.
How long does delivery take?
Usually 7 to 10 days from order to your door. The painting is carefully packed and sent door to door by air freight, insured and tracked all the way.
Is the painting signed?
Yes, by the artist, on the painting. It is one of one, and there will never be another.
Can I commission something similar?
Yes. The artist paints a new work in the style and spirit of this one. It is never a direct copy, it is a new original and will always look different, and you can ask for changes to colour, style or mood, or, if the artist agrees, for elements to be added or left out. Everything is agreed in person at the gallery in Cape Town with the curator, who discusses it with the artist, or on a live Zoom call with the curator and the artist, and you sign off the finished painting before it is packed and shipped. Ask the gallery.
What currency will I pay in?
Prices are charged in US dollars. Beneath each price you see an estimate in your own currency, worked out from the dollar price at today's rate. Buyers in South Africa can pay in rand by bank transfer at checkout.
Will I pay VAT or import tax?
No VAT or tax is added to your price. We are not a VAT vendor, so there is nothing to claim back either. Depending on where you live, your country may charge import duty or tax when the work arrives. That is set by your country's customs rules and is out of our hands, so if you are unsure, your local customs office can tell you what to expect.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery, in the condition it arrived in and in its original packaging, with return shipping at your cost. If it arrives damaged, or it is the wrong work, we replace it or refund you at our cost. See the returns policy.
