Animal & Wildlife

Wildlife art by photographers who have spent their working lives with wild animals, from Klaus Tiedge's stylised lions and elephants to Greg du Toit's work in the field. Every print is signed and numbered, and the collection hangs in a gallery in Hout Bay where you can stand in front of it before you buy.

Animal & Wildlife
The story

Wildlife art prints, and the people who made them.

Klaus Tiedge made Pride of Africa over ten years in Namibia, Southern Africa and Kenya, animals set against pale, almost empty ground. Osner Gallery is the only gallery in Africa holding his physical prints.

Greg du Toit photographs only truly wild animals, never in captivity, which is rarer in wildlife photography than most people realise. His prints are made on Ilford Galerie paper in editions of ten.

Antti Viitala and Fumi Hirai bring a quieter, more graphic eye to animals. Martin Osner's own wildlife work sits alongside the hand made mixed media pieces he creates with the sculptor Simon Shone, where a gilded animal form is built over a photographic ground.

What you receive

Every print is an archival pigment print on fine art paper, signed and numbered, with a certificate of authenticity. Each size carries its own edition, so the larger the print, the smaller the edition. Nothing here is an open run poster.

Delivery is free and insured, anywhere in the world, door to door, usually within seven to ten days. Prices are in US dollars, with an estimate in your own currency beneath each one.

Seeing the work

These are big photographs, and they change when you stand close to them. The collection hangs at Osner Gallery in Hout Bay, Cape Town, and the gallery will frame a print for you if you would like it ready to hang. If it is the people of Africa you are drawn to rather than the animals, the African Fine Art collection carries the African Queen paintings and the tribal portraits.
