timeless-africa-celebration-print
Timeless Africa, Celebration Print

Two tribal women walk along a sunlit path, carrying large baskets of the fresh harvest balanced on their heads. Their steps are steady and purposeful, their voices low as they talk and laugh together, a quiet transcendence that reflects their deep connection to the land and the rhythm of life. The original painting now lives with a collector.

A celebration print is released so that a painting can be lived with by more than one person. One collector owns the original, and as more people acquire a celebration print over the years the standing of that original grows, which is the point of them. It is also how the work is seen again: the originals are spread across the world in collectors' homes, so when Martin holds a retrospective it is the larger celebration print that hangs on the wall.

Artist: Martin Osner

Celebration print, numbered on the print before it is released

Archival pigment print on fine art paper

The signature is the artist's own, as painted on the original.
