Unfortunately, many children are innocent heirs to a previous generation's harsh legacy. Children must inherit a world they can be proud of rather than one that needs to be patched up. As a parent, I feel distressed about children who live in poverty and hope that these photographs will somehow document hope within the history of a country trying to overcome poverty.
